PROCERTAS PLACES 3RD IN INAUGURAL ACCELERATOR FOR LEGAL TECH STARTUPS AT DUKE LAW
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC, APR. 13, 2017 — Procertas (www.procteras.com) placed third in the inaugural accelerator for legal tech startups at Duke Law. The Duke Law accelerator was a three-month program that culminated in Tech Day, where startups delivered pitches to an audience of Duke Law faculty, students, business leaders and others. Seven startups, chosen from hundreds of applications, completed the program.
According to Director John Fallone, the mission of the accelerator program is “to incubate and support cutting-edge technology that will change the way legal services are delivered in the future” with sister goals to “leverage Duke Law School’s network” and “drive legal technology to the forefront… which will in turn increase access to legal services for all”.
Speaking from a crowded Texas airport amid weather delays that grounded much of the southeast, Procertas principal Casey Flaherty announced that with several learning modules currently on the market, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF, the company will soon expand to add Outlook, Powerpoint and other common platforms as well.
